Privacy Policy

Scanly · Last updated 1 June 2026

Scanly is a document scanner that runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

What Scanly stores

Scanned page images and the PDFs you export are saved only in Scanly’s private storage area on your iPhone. They never leave your device unless you choose to share or export them.

Camera

Scanly uses your camera solely to capture the pages you scan. Those images are processed on-device and stored locally. Scanly never uploads them anywhere.

Sharing and exporting

When you tap Share or Export, iOS shows the standard share sheet and sends the PDF only to the destination you pick (for example Files, Mail, or Messages). That action is initiated by you and handled by iOS and the app you choose — Scanly itself does not send your documents anywhere.

Data we collect

None. Scanly does not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, or location. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to request, correct, or delete from us — deleting a document in the app, or deleting the app, removes its data from your device.

Children

Scanly is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Scanly changes how data is handled, this policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before that version ships.
